La pianista, vocalista y compositora australiana Sarah McKenzie es una de las más brillantes nuevas figuras surgidas en la escena internacional del jazz. Graduada por el Berklee College of Music y tras dos notables álbumes editados en el sello australiano ABC Records, Don’t Tempt Me (2010) y Close Your Eyes (2012), Sarah McKenzie ha llamado la atención de los responsables del legendario sello discográfico de jazz Impulse, donde John Coltrane grabó sus mejores discos. Su primer disco para Impulse We Could Be Lovers, producido por Brian Bacchus, productor de Norah Jones y de Gregory Porter, ha ganado el premio como mejor disco de jazz vocal australiano de 2015. Una pianista maravillosa y una deliciosa cantante, con una banda extraordinaria tocando un repertorio de los que hacen amar el jazz, ¿qué más puede pedirse?

Australian pianist, vocalist and composer, Sarah McKenzie is one of the brightest figures on the international jazz scene. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, she recorded two notable albums with the Australian record label ABC Records, Don't Tempt Me (2010) and Close Your Eyes (2012), before drawing the attention of the legendary jazz label Impulse, which was responsible for some of John Coltrane's best albums. Her first album for Impulse We Could be Lovers, produced by Brian Bacchus who previously produced Norah Jones and Gregory Porter, has won the Bell Award for Best Australian Jazz Vocal Album 2015. A wonderful piano player and singer, with an extraordinary band performing the sort of repertoire which creates jazz lovers. What else could we ask for?

Considerado por muchos el mejor coro de gospel de Europa; con diez álbumes e innumerables conciertos en su larga historia, que abarca ya más de tres décadas, el LCGC, acompañado por una potente banda de cinco músicos, es un grandioso espectáculo, de los que no se olvidan. Fundado en 1982 por el reverendo Bazil Meade, grandes artistas han contado con la colaboración del LCGC en conciertos, vídeos y discos, como George Michael, Sting, Luther Vandross, Elton John, Mariah Carey, Blur, Paul McCartney, Celine Dion, Tina Turner, Madonna, James Brown o Eric Clapton. Coloreando el gospel con todo tipo de influencias, desde la tradición americana a pinceladas caribeñas y africanas, las maravillosas voces y cuidadas coreografías del LCGC llenan al público de emoción y espiritualidad y le dejan físicamente exhausto. Un concierto que marcará un hito en la historia del Festival.

Considered by many to be the best gospel choir in Europe, with ten albums and innumerable concerts in its long history, which spans more tan three decades, the LCGC, accompanied by a powerful band of five musicians is a grandiose show which is not easily forgotten. Founded in 1982 by the Reverend Bazil Meade, several great artists like George Michael, Sting, Luther Vandross, Elton John, Mariah Carey, Blur, Paul McCartney, Celine Dion, Tina Turner, Madonna, James Brown, or Eric Clapton have collaborated with the LCGC in concerts, videos and recordings. Speckling gospel with all kinds of influences, from the traditional American to Caribbean and African sounds, the wonderful LCGC’s voices and choreography fill the audience with such emotion and spirituallity that the left it physically exhausted.. A concert which will surely be mark a milestone in the history of the festival.
