Reciente ganador del Premio Grammy 2016 por su álbum Go Go Juice, en la categoría de “Mejor Album de Música de raíces Regionales”, Jon Cleary es un músico de funk y rhythm and blues, nacido en Kent, Inglaterra, pero radicado en Nueva Orleans, Louisiana, donde ha dedicado los últimos veinte años a estudiar intensamente la rica cultura musical de Nueva Orleans. Pianista, guitarrista, cantante y notable compositor, sus canciones han sido grabadas por grandes músicos como Taj Mahal, Bonnie Raitt o John Scofield. Respetado por iconos de New Orleans como Dr. John o Allen Toussaint; Toussaint, de hecho, escribió los arreglos de los vientos de su premiado álbum Go Go Juice; desplegando en sus conciertos el mejor R&B de Nueva Orleans, con un estilo pianístico que recorre las influencias de Jerry Roll Morton a Fats Domino y una banda espléndida de nativos de Louisiana, The Absolute Monster Gentlemen, Jon Cleary ofrece un concierto de alto voltaje, que no dejará a nadie indiferente.

Recent winner of a 2016 Grammy Award for his album Go Go Juice, in the "Best Regional Roots Album" category, Job Cleary is a funk and rhythm and blues musician born in Kent, England, but based in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he has dedicated the last twenty years to intensely study the rich musical culture of New Orleans. Pianist, guitarist, singer and notable composer his songs have been recorded by great musicians like Taj Mahal, Bonnie Raitt or John Scofield. Respected by icons of New Orleans like Dr. John or Allen Toussaint; in fact Toussaint wrote the arrangements for the winds in his award winning album Go Go Juice; unfurling on his concerts the best R&B of New Orleans, with a piano style which runs through the influences of Jerry Roll Morton to Fats Domino and a splendid band of Louisiana natives, The Absolute Monster Gentlemen, Jon Cleary offers a high voltage concert, which will leave no one indifferent.

Una superbanda liderada por dos gigantes del jazz fusión, el guitarrista Mike Stern, ganador de seis premios Grammy, en su primer concierto en Jazz San Javier, y el saxofonista Bill Evans, muy querido y admirado en San Javier, donde ha ofrecido conciertos inolvidables a lo largo de la historia del festival en muy diversas formaciones. La colaboración de estos dos grandes virtuosos arranca de los 80 del siglo XX, años en los que ambos formaron parte de la Miles Davis Band y, tras varias décadas de exitosas carreras, se han convertido en dos superestrellas de su instrumento, respetados en todo el planeta. El grupo se completa con el impresionante bajista eléctrico Darryl Jones, que toca con The Rolling Stones desde 1993, año en que Bill Wyman abandonó el grupo, y la estrella de la batería Dennis Chambers, uno de los bateristas más espectaculares del jazz contemporáneo.

A superband led by two jazz fusión giants: guitarist Mike Stern, winner of six Grammy Awards, who will perform for the first time in Jazz San Javier; and saxophonist Bill Evans, very loved and admired in San Javier, where he has performed some unforgettable concerts with several different bands throughout the festival’s history. The collaboration between these two great virtuosos started back in the 80s when they both formed part of the Miles Davis Band, and after successful careers spanning several decades the have become two respected superstars of their respective instruments worldwide. The rest of the lineup includes the impressive electric bassist Darryl Jones, who has played with The Rolling Stones since 1993, the year in which Bill Wyman left the group, and superstar drummer Dennis Chambers, one of the most spectacular jazz drummers in contemporary jazz.
